Piranha 3D is a remake of the original 1978 Piranha, and, like its predecessor, is a parody of Jaws. It takes place at a resort with killer fish, and even stars Richard Dreyfuss. It pays homage to scary movies in clever ways—through camera angles, graphic violence and tongue-in-cheek comedy. It totally delivers on the fun. The 3-D format lends itself to this sort of film; all the fish and the deep-water shots were menacing.” —Howard Levman Owner of Queen Video

“Adele’s new single, ‘Rolling in the Deep,’ is a terrific bluesy song about a fractured relationship. Having lovers play her for a fool is a favourite topic of Adele’s; she’s great at delivering distress. Her voice is more mature than it used to be, harsher—she’s obviously been listening to Tom Waits and old country albums. And she probably smoked a lot of cigarettes and drank her share of gin and tonics.” —Nick Koppel Manager of Kops Records

“You may think you know a lot about Humphrey Bogart, but Stefan Kanfer’s greatest skill as a writer is his ability to unearth revelations about his subjects. You not only learn about Bogart’s day-to-day life during the golden era of moviemaking, but also about the down period, when the studio system was changing and he thought the world had forgotten him. Of course, the Bogie persona eventually outlived Bogart himself.” —Leonard McHardy Co-owner of TheatreBooks
