Like many Canadians of a particular vintage, we have a nostalgic love for the fictional pair of classic Canadians Bob and Doug McKenzie. The brothers, played by Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas, hosted the fictional TV program “Great White North” on sketch comedy series SCTV in the ’80s—kind of like how brothers Rob and Doug Ford host the real-life radio program “The City with Mayor Rob Ford” on Newstalk 1010 today.
