On behalf of all the citizens of Toronto that value road safety, Mr Mayor... please get a driver.

—Sergeant Tim Burrows of the Toronto Police, asking Rob Ford to relinquish the driver’s seat after the mayor was snapped reading while piloting his Escalade down the Gardiner Expressway Tuesday morning. Although previous Toronto mayors have employed drivers (an expense paid for by taxpayers), Ford has thus far remained true to his gravy-hating ways and refused to do so—despite badgering from his brother Doug. Here’s hoping Burrows’ request, made on the Toronto Police’s official Facebook page, will make Ford reconsider. [Facebook]
