Olivia Chow’s radio ad imagines the Ford administration as a monster-truck rally

At the risk of mixing her metaphors (she has previously referred to Rob Ford’s city hall as “the circus tent”), Olivia Chow has turned to hillbilly sports as a mode of expressing her disdain for the mayor’s many scandals. A new radio spot for her campaign is a note-perfect imitation of a certain style of early-nineties monster-truck promotion, only this time it’s Ford’s impending return from rehab that has the announcer all excited.
