Mike Myers and Dave Foley returned to their old stomping grounds with a trip to the Rivoli, the Queen West venue where both spent time early in their careers.

“The long-time friends came by to have lunch and discuss their passion for the Maple Leafs,” says a post on the Rivoli’s Instagram page, which features a shot of Myers, Foley and Rivoli booker Brendan Fyfe. The visit was taped for a new show being hosted by Foley, called Hockey Fanatics.

With Kids in the Hall, Foley frequently performed at the Rivoli. One of Myers’ Saturday Night Live characters, Dieter, is said to have been inspired by a Rivoli server years ago.

“They shared their love for the venue and how happy they were to see it still operating,” said the post.
