$370,725

—The amount of money police Chief Bill Blair will receive when he leaves his post next April, according to the Sun. (That’s $367,719, a full year’s salary, plus $3,006 in benefits. And he’ll also get a payout for unused vacation time.) The Sun says the reason Blair is entitled to this money is that the Toronto Police Services Board denied his request for a contract extension. Had he resigned voluntarily, the board wouldn’t have been contractually obligated to pay up.
