Last night, with just days to go before his state dinner with Barack Obama, Justin Trudeau appeared on the CBS show 60 Minutes. His one-on-one interview, pitched squarely at the show’s largely American viewership, served as a primer on the Canadian prime minister, and included hard-hitting revelations like the fact that the House of Commons is where Canadian laws are passed, and also that maybe Kim Cattrall is Justin Trudeau’s mother. (She isn’t.) While many Canadians were critical of the softball questions, the American reaction, at least on Twitter, was far more, um, multifaceted.
