Stronach, who is 93, is the founder of Magna International and an Order of Canada recipient. He is currently on trial in Toronto for separate sexual assault allegations. The decision in that trial is expected in June.
The auto parts-billionaire was charged with 18 offences involving 13 complainants in 2024. The case was split in two, with the second, now delayed, set for court in Newmarket.
Stronach called the allegations “lies” when interviewed by CBC’s The Fifth Estate in 2024.
