now-what-new

David Price’s $130,000-a-year job on Rob Ford’s mayoral staff was once a total mystery. (When asked why Price was hired, Doug Ford would say only that “you can’t teach loyalty.”) Now, the former “logistics director” tells tells the National Post’s Peter Kuitenbrouwer that he regrets his professional involvement with the Fords, whom he’s called friends since high school. “At the time I joined if I knew the depths of depravity that Rob was involved with…I definitely would not have joined his employ,” Price says. The largely apologetic interview seems to be Price’s attempt to bury his previous bad press. “When you apply for a job these days, people don’t look at your CV. They Google you,” he tells Kuitenbrouwer. And when they Google David Price, they find stuff like this.
