Check out Jose Bautista as a Mafioso in this ridiculous MLB marketing bit

Thanks to the fun-loving folks over at The Score, we’ve been treated to the latest short, uh, “film” produced by Major League Baseball and starring the Toronto Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista in his “acting” debut. The bit features Bautista as Joey Bats, a loose-cannon gangster in the mold of virtually every Joe Pesci character to appear on the silver screen. While the clip isn’t exactly the stuff Goodfellas is made of, we’re happy to see the Jays’ star player becoming one of baseball’s most marketable commodities. Local writers are already having a field day with the video—but you should probably take a look for yourself.
