When Stollerysnew owner started demolishing the building in January, it might’ve seemed as though the store had sold its last seersucker suit at Yonge and Bloor. But there’s good news for bargain hunters and anyone nostalgic about the century-old store: Stollerys is, in fact, still open—it’s just moved slightly west, into the temporary retail space that used to hawk those gigantic Magnum ice creams. Two floors are packed with merchandise, and it’s all about 50 to 70 per cent off. Shoppers interested in picking up a few $5 silk ties or bagging a Barbour jacket on the cheap should act quickly, as the temporary shop will be closing for good at the end of April.
