Today in Toronto: La Sagouine

La Sagouine: Viola Léger can’t be faulted for consistency. The 80-year-old former New Brunswick senator has performed the title role—a washerwoman—in Antonine Maillet’s Acadian masterwork some 1,400 times, in French and English.
