Toronto Sun publishes glorified “Wanted” poster of a man freeloading on the TTC

The Toronto Sun is seeking the identity of a man photographed clinging to the back of a TTC bus. As impressed as we are with the rider’s grip (and stupidity), we have to wonder why the Sun is apparently taking it upon itself to police the city. The article has about as much copy as a “Wanted” poster, and at the bottom asks readers to contact the paper if they know who the mystery freeloader is. (But perhaps the hard-working folks at the Sun just want to ask him a few questions.) The piece features the simple, inoffensive headline “Do you know this guy?”—although the URL for the article is slightly less diplomatic—and Sun commenters have some theories: “That looks like Dalton trying to get a free ride to the Taxpayers’ Bank of Ontario,” and “It’s a TTC union worker holding on to his job.” Heck, the Sun has even run a follow-up piece.
