Weddings 2012 | Toast points
RED Trumpeter 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon $12.95 |Mendoza, Argentina 88 points A crowd-pleasing red with a seductive, complex nose of cocoa, cedar, leather and blackcurrant jam. It’s medium-full bodied, creamy, a touch sweet and dense, with some heat and woody tannin. Smooth for such a young wine. Best 2012 to 2015. LCBO 218842
WHITE Cono Sur 2011 Organic Chardonnay $12 | San Antonio, Chile 90 points From a cool, coastal region of Chile, this chardonnay is elegant and rich, with intriguing yellow pineapple and papaya fruit flavours and a gentle background of oak and butterscotch. Shockingly good for a $12 wine. LCBO 230565
SPARKLING Villa Sandi Prosecco $13.85 | Venetia, Italy 87 points Villa Sandi offers champagne charm on a shoestring budget, with appealing aromas of apple pulp, white almond and shortbread. It’s soft, with some sweetness and creaminess braced by fine acidity. Serve well chilled. LCBO 249722

Scores: A rating of 95 to 100 is outstanding; 90 to 94 excellent; 85 to 89 very good; 80 to 84 good.
