- <span style="text-transform:uppercase;">Clement Virgo, Director</span><br />He has a weighty list of directing credits (<em>Lie With Me</em>, <em>The Wire</em>, <em>The L Word</em>), but Virgo’s first job was in fashion as a window dresser for Harry Rosen. “I used to be very style-conscious,” he says. “I even got caught up with the <em>Miami Vice</em> look in the ’80s. Now I like simple basics—American Apparel T-shirts and pullovers.” As Damon D’Oliveira’s producing partner, Virgo has three films on the go and directs episodes of CTV’s hit <em>The Listener</em>.<br />WEARING: John Varvatos jacket ($1,595 at Holt Renfrew); Morandi shoes ($298 at David’s); T-shirt and Carhartt jeans are his own.

You must be kidding – BEST DRESSED????
Is this some kind of joke??? C’mon Toronto Life…. Pull up your socks a bit.
stylish?!!?!?!??????? more like uninspiring
Best dressed?? Umm… no.
Who was the stylist for this shoot? Some credits, please… we need someone to blame
I think it’s unanimous that these are VERY odd choices for Best Dressed, but I must say that while I find Charlotte Mickie’s style VERY admirable and impressive and I think she looks great, the antler necklace disturbs and scares me more than I care to admit.
WTF? $2,750 for a fucking jacket? There’s a global famine you could feed a fucking family of 5 for 10 months on that! or longer! :-/
Did TIFF buy the clothes for these clowns or why do we need to know the prices?!
