Dakota Fanning has been flexing her sartorial chops this festival season with a series of decidedly grown-up gowns. At the Venice film fest premiere for Night Moves, the former child star channeled the film’s title in a shimmering navy Elie Saab gown that could’ve inspired Van Gogh’s Starry Night. We just wish she would’ve upped the elegance factor by pulling back her loose locks. Happily, Fanning read our minds at the film’s TIFF gala, where her slicked-back topknot complemented a form-fitting Atelier Versace two-piece embellished with Swarovski crystals. Which sparkly red carpet look works best?
