Target doesn’t seem to be letting poor earnings and a security scandal hinder its plans for Canadian domination. The American discount retailer has announced plans to open nine new stores across Canada this year, bringing the total number of Canadian outlets up to 133. Toronto Target fans will be pleased to learn that the expansion includes an outlet in the Stockyards Mall at St. Clair Avenue West and Weston Road. Signage for the Junction addition has been posted since December, and shoppers can expect the store to open as soon as Spring 2014. A second new GTA outlet in the Erin Mills Town Centre will follow in the summer.
