On May 19, the Rogers Centre was taken over by a flood of frills, florals and philanthropic pomp as Toronto socialite Suzanne Rogers hosted the sixth instalment of her Suzanne Rogers Presents fashion show series. This year, Rogers partnered with New York–based fashion and lifestyle brand LoveShackFancy for a thoroughly glitzy day that raised $500,000 for SickKids and the Jays Care Foundation.

Over six shows and 16 years, Rogers’s fashion show series has raised nearly $4 million in contributions to various charities benefiting children. Past shows included high-profile names such as Oscar de la Renta, Zac Posen and Victoria Beckham. A lifelong sartorial enthusiast, Rogers has been dubbed the fairy godmother of fashion for her generous financial contributions to Canadian fashion institutions and designers.

LoveShackFancy, the unabashedly feminine label founded by Rebecca Hessel Cohen in 2013, set the tone for the day, with guests arriving in a romantic mosaic of bows, ruffles and lace. Attendees included Marnie Starkman, executive vice-president of business operations for the Toronto Blue Jays; Jennifer Bernard, president and CEO of the SickKids Foundation; and Sylvia Mantella, event co-chair, alongside a host of local fashion supporters.

The festivities kicked off with a noon luncheon in the Rogers Centre’s glamorous TD Lounge, emceed by Canadian sportscaster Hazel Mae. Following finger sandwiches, guests made their way to home plate for a floodlit photo op with the event’s baby-pink branding cast on the Jumbotrons. Later in the evening, guests sat for LoveShackFancy’s fall/winter 2026 collection fashion show, held at a private Toronto venue that resembles a Gilded Age estate. Tying a bow on the night was a surprise performance by iconic Canadian vocalist Sarah McLachan.

The event’s beneficiaries, SickKids and the Jays Care Foundation, share mandates of improving the lives of children. “I am deeply grateful to Rebecca for her partnership and support of this event and for helping us make such a meaningful impact for children’s charities,” says Rogers. “The generosity of our sponsors, patrons and supporters made this evening truly exceptional.”
