Justine Fowler and Angus Bennett are the 30-year-old co-owners of the Dundas West restaurant L’Ouvrier (Bennett is also the chef). They met in elementary school in Ottawa. Although they lost touch for a while, they reconnected in their 20s, fell in love and recently had their first child together, Oscar. They bought their Victorian home in Little Portugal three years ago and began kitting it out for frequent dinner parties and house guests. They agreed that Fowler would handle all decor decisions, with the exception of the kitchen, where Bennett spends most of his time in front of his industrial six-burner Garland stove.
