For the first time in probably ever, the season’s most covetable style essentials are being designed and produced right here in Toronto. A league of artisans are setting up ateliers in Dupont warehouses and Chinatown apartments, creating luxe totes, quirky swimsuits and Gaga-calibre specs. It’s the kind of stuff you’ll never find on the runways of Milan or New York—and that’s what makes it great. Here, our favourite locally crafted designer duds.
