Lucian Matis hits it big in the metropolis of Saskatoon

We Torontonians love our own Lucian Matis, but we recognize that our little hamlet can’t hold a rising star forever: we teared up a bit when we learned the designer is showcasing his first ever boutique collection exclusively in Saskatoon. All jokes aside, we are definitely proud that he’s moving on to bigger and better things, like giving Paramount Boutique the honour of hosting his fall/winter 2011–12 collection, arranged in three themes: the Boyfriend, the Romantic and the Safari (we’ll always treasure his 2009 line, the Circus). The lucky shop threw an ultra-chic champagne and cupcake party today to celebrate—we’d throw our own hoedown should our wayward son come home, but it’s rare for a country boy to return once he’s tasted the big city.
