For label-lovers who despaired after uptown boutique LAB Consignment shut its doors in October, take heart: the upscale women’s consignment shop has relaunched as an e-commerce website, complete with a mail-in consignment program. The site is chock-full of designer clothes and accessories, which shoppers can sort by label (Tom Ford. Celine, Louis Vuitton, Celine), by size or by price. It also has a section for new and unworn pieces, where you can score J Brand and Rich & Skinny jeans at a discount or Yves Saint Laurent pumps for under $400. Anyone who feels nervous about buying a luxury item without seeing it first can make an appointment to visit LAB’s uptown showroom, dubbed The Studio at LAB. And, since designer bags are often the target of fraud, LAB also guarantees its wares’ authenticity. The same cannot be said for sketchy eBay sellers.
