At Izzy Camilleri and Adrian Mainella’s IZMA show last night, beyond the bevy of local celebs—Tara Spencer-Nairn and Gabrielle Miller of Corner Gas; soulstresses Divine Brown and Jully Black; and designers Jeremy Laing, Joe Mimran and Philip Sparks—we saw a sign that the recession was over more definitive than any economist could give: a floor-length fur evening gown. See this and the other pieces in the collection below.

Decadent hardly begins to describe IZMA’s luxe pieces, like a sheer silk organza blouse with fur shoulders, a fur tuxedo blazer, and a rabbit and fox coat in black and deep red. Obviously, IZMA isn’t going to be winning any PETA awards, but we expect it won’t be long before fur-lover Anna Wintour starts eyeing the Canadian collection from behind her fashionable frames. Of course, it would cut out the middleman if international editors simply attended these shows, but that’s probably just a small hurdle, right?
