There are lots of fun ways to experience Fashion Week, but certain parts of the festival are off-limits to even the savviest show-goers. Thankfully, a select set of insiders (including stylists, editors and photographers) regularly update their Instagram feeds with behind-the-scenes intel. Here, eight industry experts to follow this Fashion Week.

THE MODEL Kiera Yasmeen took home last season’s Best Model award at Fashion’s annual awards bash. She’ll be walking in shows like Mikael D and Stephan Caras, so her feed should be full of sequins, skin and voluminous ballgowns (plus a few of her fun, goofy selfies).

THE MAKEUP ARTIST Grace Lee has perfected the faces of Gigi Hadid, Eva Longoria and Drake. This season, she’ll be beautifying models backstage with Maybelline New York. Prepare to peruse lots of flawless cat-eyes and perfectly sculpted brows.

THE BLOGGER Justine Iaboni is a fixture at Fashion Week, and a regular street style star. If past seasons are anything to go by, she’ll be sharing a week’s worth of ridiculously perfect outfits (complete with her signature accessory: oversized shades).

THE PR FORCE Rock-It Promotions handles almost everything Fashion Week–related. Debra Goldblatt-Sadowski, the firm’s founder, is known for posting lots of front row photos, #GirlBoss selfies and shots of her cute kids.

THE STYLIST Talia Brown’s job includes personal shopping and styling fashion shoots for magazines. This week, she’ll be attending the shows, hanging out backstage with ethical designer Laura Siegel and showing off her impeccable personal style in Canadian designers like Sentaler and Ela. Follow her for some (free-of-charge) outfit inspiration.

THE PHOTOGRAPHER Toronto fashion photographer Jeffrey Chan—whose sultry model shots are regularly featured in international editions of Glamour magazine—will be shooting backstage on Tuesday and Thursday. Check his feed for up-close peeks at all the behind-the-scenes chaos.

THE EDITOR Bernadette Morra, editor-in-chief of Fashion magazine, regularly posts candid party shots of celebs like Karl Lagerfeld and Amber Heard. This week, she’ll be Instagramming from the front row of all the biggest shows.

THE NAIL QUEEN Rita Remark is the lead nail artist for Essie, and her work has been featured in Flare and the Globe. She’ll be backstage for fun shows like Hayley Elsaesser and Mackage, doling out manicures and creating graphic nail art looks (we love this one she designed for Misty Fox).

Jean Grant has been a freelance writer since 2015, covering a range of lifestyle topics like shopping, interiors, wellness and culture for publications like Maclean’s and Toronto Life. She also enjoys working with brands to develop custom content, and shares personal essays through her Substack newsletter, Nobody is Thinking About You.
