Western Canadian transplants will be excited to hear that Gravitypope is setting up shop in Toronto, at 1010 Queen Street West (at Ossington). The company started with an extremely well-curated footwear boutique in Edmonton in 1990, and has since expanded its operation to include locations in Calgary and Vancouver, while adding clothes and accessories to its offerings. The current roster includes footwear from the likes of Marni and Paul Smith all the way down to Keds and Blundstone (as well as a very respectable house brand), and clothing by heavies like A.P.C., Isabel Marant and Band of Outsiders. Expect the Toronto store to open early November.
