New York–based jeweller David Yurman was one of several U.S. luxury retailers wooed by Yorkdale as part of the mall’s $331 million revamp. The nearly 2,000-square-foot boutique—the brand’s first in Canada—is predictably plush, and carries all the jeweller’s most coveted pieces: whimsical charm pendants, pavé gemstone rings and signature cable bracelets, as well as delicate wedding bands and one-of-a-kind designs. Items range from $125 for sterling silver rings to $32,000 for a chunky gold cuff woven with pavé diamonds. Style-conscious men will appreciate the jeweller’s handsome watches and simple decorative pieces, including a new line of cuffs, signet rings and tag pendants studded with chips from a four-billion-year-old meteorite.
