Toronto-born model Coco Rocha debuted the first piece in her new clothing line, Rococo, at last night’s Grammys, where she did double duty by working the red carpet for ET Canada and tweeting the play-by-play action.

The floor-length peacock blue gown (two parts regal and one part Fifth Element) features a high slit in the centre, revealing what appears to be a gold miniskirt beneath, as well as futuristic gold shoulder pads. It’s unique, for sure, and we give her credit for doing something different, as opposed to the interchangeable jersey party dresses rubber-stamped by celebrity designers.

Her tweets (complete with photos) are also entertaining, with such gems as “Just watched @thesituation unbutton his shirt for the cameras three times in a row. Jersey, keeping it classy” and “The real @ladygaga just showed up and looks like she took a tumble in the mic wires backstage. Good luck sitting down tonight, Gaga!" Unfortunately, there’s no mention of her running into everyone’s favourite Degrassi alum, Drake.
