Brooks Brothers, well-known purveyor of preppy dad-clothes, recently opened a fancy new flagship on Toronto’s Mink Mile, just east of the chain’s collegiate-themed Flatiron shop. In keeping with the posh new address (it’s housed in the space previously occupied by the Nike store), the shop’s design is undeniably elegant—particularly the women’s section, which takes up the entire main floor. The high ceilings, white marble floor and crystal chandeliers are a marked departure from the brand’s usual, gentlemen’s-club aesthetic. With J. Crew Collection and Kate Spade just steps away, it’s a one-stop shop for the cashmere-cardigan set.
