Bookstores are dead, long live bookstores! Or one bookstore, at least. BlogTO is reporting that a new Book City is opening in a former Telus store in Bloor West Village, just a few doors down from the old location that shuttered in 2012. The announcement follows the closing of the Annex Book City location a few months ago, as well as closures of Pages, The Book Mark and Nicholas Hoare. It’s good news for Bloor West Villagers, who will have a new place to idly browse for books they will inevitably go home and purchase online for a third of the price.
