Bloor Street’s Mink Mile will soon add another international purveyor of luxury goods to its roster: Agent Provocateur, the British lingerie label known for its racy designs and even racier ad campaigns, will open its first standalone Toronto boutique at the end of July. Located within the Colonnade at 131 Bloor Street West, the shop will occupy two small spaces next to Escada. With the help of an attentive—if scantily clad—sales staff, shoppers will find lacy lingerie sets, celebrity-endorsed swimsuit collections and crystal whips. But high-class sex appeal doesn’t come cheap: simple panties sell for over $100 and full “playsuits” can run up to almost $1,000. For lingerie enthusiasts who can’t wait until the new shop opens, Holt Renfrew’s Bloor Street location has its own in-store boutique stocked with all the garter belts, corsets and nipple pasties you could need.
