Hayley Elsaesser's print-filled flagship opens in Bayview Village

Though Fashion Week regulars may already be familiar with Hayley Elsaesser’s work, uptown residents can now get a taste of the Aussie designer’s bold style at her new Bayview Village shop. With their wildly hypnotic prints and extremely loud colour combos (neon pink paired with lime green is not off limits), her wares are not for the attention-averse: this fall, experimental dressers can embrace overalls emblazoned with coiled serpents or knitwear in electric orange-and-blue cargo patterns. Shoppers looking for a slightly more subtle take on Elsaesser’s signature style can opt for laid-back sweatshirts or just a pair of bright socks. Elsaesser will be at Toronto Fashion Week again this October, giving fans a heads up for what to expect come spring (chances are it’ll be print-related).

Printed socks are a less obvious (but still fun) way to get the designer’s look. $16.
