The Find: nine fresh takes on the classic white button-down

It’s always refreshing when the fashion world backs a trend that revives a closet mainstay, instead of encouraging the latest outlandish accessory. This spring, we’ve been seeing lots of creative takes on the classic white shirt, from Rihanna’s bathrobe-like reincarnation to blogger Leandra Medine’s ribboned geek-chic ensemble. Whether it’s an oversized boyfriend fit, a ruffled blouse or a sleeveless tunic, the white shirt is as versatile as it gets—a well-tailored button-down pairs equally well with casual leggings, prim A-line skirts or, for a look that feels particularly spring-appropriate, plain old blue denim. Here, our favourite shirts of the season.
