Etsy, purveyor of all things adorable and handcrafted, wraps up its ever-so-twee 10-day road trip this week. After showcasing the work of local vendors and artisans in Montreal, Kingston and Ottawa, the kitted-out Airstream trailer will set up shop for two days in Toronto, first at the corner of King and Brant streets on August 8, and then in the Distillery District on August 9. Shoppers will be able to browse the work of five local labels and chat to the designers behind them. They’ll find beautiful canvas and leather clutches from Grace Design, patterned linen bow ties from Handsome and Lace, pretty floral crowns from Jordan de Ruiter and, for nail-art enthusiasts, metallic press-on tips from Nail Kandy. Even those who aren’t obsessed with DIY embroidery kits may find things to admire, like musical acts from local indie bands and tacos from the Gourmet Gringos food truck.
