On the patch: a cozy sweater for November

Elbow patches are everywhere this fall, on tweedy blazers, plaid jackets and sweaters. It’s an easy trend to wear (unlike, say, certain muffin top–creating footwear) but can come off looking overly professorial. One of our favourite versions is this jumper from Toronto label Snoflake, which would never be confused for academic uniform. We like it with skinny jeans and tall boots, but this time of year, it’s just as comfy as a hoodie for weekends spent cuddled on the couch with a book.

Snoflake sweater $180 at Trap Door, 2993 Dundas St. W., 647-827-6994, shoptrapdoor.com.
