The Find: a foxy example of the animal sweater trend

The current popularity of animal-inspired sweaters has its roots in high fashion: Erdem created one covered in embroidered birds, Ungaro made a wolf version, Balenciaga went with a German shepherd and Givenchy an angry Rottweiler. If you’re a fan of the trend’s quirky spirit—but don’t want to spend over a thousand dollars on the look—we suggest this oatmeal wool top from British label Aubin and Wills. Not only do we think that fox is awfully cute, but the organic colour palette and three buttons on the shoulder keep the sweater from resembling something a doting grandmother might knit (no offense, doting grandmothers—we love you anyway). We recommend pairing it with coated denim jeans, Chelsea boots and a leather jacket for a downtown look, or go wholesale English country with riding boots and a quilted jacket in hunter green. $215.
