Follow the rules: our favourite back-to-school supply for grown-ups

Follow the rules: our favourite back-to-school supply for grown-ups

When we first saw this ruler at Mjölk, we were reminded of picking flowers in the garden as a child and pressing them between the pages of our Nancy Drew books. Japanese designer Norihiko Terayama has hand picked and pressed 30 blooms for each acrylic ruler, placing the stems exactly one centimetre apart for measuring. Packed in a wooden box, it’s a thoughtful gift, but at $220, give it to someone old enough to take care of the functional piece of art.

Mjölk, 2959 Dundas St. W., 416-551-9853, mjolk.ca.
