The Find: an adorable rain cape that’s practical, too

Trout Rainwear

For warding off the April drizzle, Toronto-based outerwear expert Trout has a chic alternative to the rubbery yellow slicker. The two-toned Sevan Cape is cute enough to pair with dressy work slacks or a summery frock. It’s also made from a breathable Italian cotton blend that’s 100 per cent waterproof, making the topper a totally practical springtime investment. Plus, unlike a classic collared trench, the hood is roomy enough to keep your hair dry when you’re caught without an umbrella. We’re partial to the nautical navy, but it also comes in sunny yellow and lime green. $545.

Trout Rainwear, available at Holt Renfrew’s Bloor Street and Yorkdale locations, and online
