Alfred Sung is designing a patio furniture line

Like many clothing designers before him (Ralph Lauren, Fendi, Versace), Alfred Sung, one of Canada’s household fashion names, has made forays into the home decor market, first in 2005 with a collection for Zellers. His latest venture is a wicker patio furniture collection, titled Sung Outdoor, that will be carried exclusively at The Bay. Rather than using brown rattan that recalls dated Florida retirement villas, Sung has chosen a weather-resistant plastic in white, slate and black and paired it with brushed steel legs and modern shapes. Prices are affordable: the Paris chair (at left) is $199, and the Capri dining set (with table, two armchairs and four side chairs) is $1,100.

See the full collection in the slide show after the jump.
