The history

This home was built in 2009 on a lot where a condemned house once stood. It was designed by Andrew Reeves, of Linebox Studio, for Patrick Flynn, a fingerprint examiner for the Toronto Police Service.

Big selling point

This home is semi-famous. It has been featured in the Globe and Mail, Dwell—and, yes, Toronto Life.

Possible deal breaker

The bedroom situation—that shelf on the wall upstairs hides a fold-out bed—is obviously not for everyone. But for those who are into the idea, every night is like sleeping in a lofted treehouse:

By the numbers

• $749,000 • $2,607.42 (2016 taxes) • 650 square feet • 22-foot ceilings • 1 bedroom • 1 bathroom
