The history

Rather than clad the exterior in flat grey siding, like so many other modern homes, the owners chose to outfit this place with red brick and walnut trim. As a result, it blends in with its less modernized neighbours.

Big selling point

The house has four outdoor decks: one on the front porch, one on the back porch, one off the third floor and one off the largest bedroom on the second floor. Here’s the third-floor one:

Possible deal breaker

There are no parking spots, although the current owners have applied to the city for permission to add a parking pad in the front yard. Regardless, street parking is available.

By the numbers

• $1,799,000 • $5,586.56 in taxes (2016) • 2,200 square feet • 25-by-123-foot lot • 5 bathrooms • 4 bedrooms
