The place
A two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment on the fifth floor of the Parker—a new 39-storey rental tower on leafy Redpath Avenue, in midtown. Wi-Fi (but not utilities or insurance) is included in the rent, as is access to shared amenities such as a pet spa, a two-lane bowling alley, a lobby café, a retro arcade and a rooftop infinity pool. The building is within walking distance of countless businesses as well as Eglinton station, and it’s a short drive from Mount Pleasant Road and Bayview Avenue.

The tour
Concierge service runs from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The lobby acts as a café, co-working space and lounge. Its public wine bar, 10 Dean, serves coffee, tea, sandwiches, pastries and alcohol. Residents get a discount and can pre-order through the building’s app.
This view highlights the seating and dining areas as well as the workspace. In warmer weather, guests can access a patio via the café.
Before heading upstairs, stop by the pet spa—for the cuddles, of course.
Now for the apartment itself. All homes in the tower come with keyless smart-lock entry. This unit’s foyer features a bench-closet combo with a full sliding-door coat closet directly behind it.
Around the corner is the open-concept kitchen, dining and living area. The entire home is ADA accessible, meaning there’s enough clearance for wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
Here’s a close-up of the quartz counter and backsplash. The kitchen appliances—fridge, gas cooktop, built-in microwave and mini dishwasher—are all KitchenAid.
The kitchen island is also quartz.
And it has a built-in wine fridge.
The living area has a corner view. Every unit in the building comes with roller blinds.
This is the main bedroom, which can fit a queen-sized bed. Its ensuite is equipped with a bathtub-shower, wall-mounted storage, and porcelain walls and floors.
The closet has tiered organizers and shelving.
As for the second bedroom, it faces north and comes with a nifty headboard that doubles as a feature wall.
The second bathroom is shared and has a walk-in shower with a rainfall head and a storage niche. There’s also (not pictured) a wall-mounted medicine cabinet, more porcelain and a smart thermostat, plus a stacked washer-dryer next door.
On to the building’s amenities, most of which are on the 37th and 38th floors. First up: the kids’ play zone.
A perfect place for little ones to meet new friends or to just take a nap in a beanbag.
There’s also this retro arcade, with classic games like Donkey Kong and Street Fighter II.
And how about this Lebowski-worthy two-lane bowling alley, which lives in the corner of the party room?
The most unique amenity may be the virtual clinic. Residents get online access to a medical professional who can diagnose non-emergency issues, write prescriptions and refer patients. Included is a TytoCare system for diagnostics, such as taking blood pressure.
Here’s the building’s two-storey commercial-grade gym, designed by Matt Nichol, a strength and conditioning coach who has worked with the Maple Leafs and the Tiger Cats. Special features include a weighted sled with turf, a yoga room and a spin studio.
The gym is open 24/7, and all residents have access to virtual fitness classes like pilates, yoga and HIIT. Note the Greenhouse Juice vending machine.
Finally, the rooftop terrace and its spectacular view of downtown. Its pool comes with cabanas and loungers, plus an outdoor grill. In the summer, the Parker hosts free resident parties here, typically with catering and a DJ.
