A five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home near Avenue and Glencairn. Neutral in colour and lined with textured finishes, the residence comes with a living room on each of its four levels, an elevator, a sparkling kitchen, a movie theatre and a speakeasy-style bar in the basement, along with a pool and a hot tub out back. It’s within walking distance of the shops along Eglinton and two future Crosstown stations. And motorists are a short drive from both Allen Road and Bayview.
The current owners dreamed of building a family home with endless entertainment, so they commissioned architect Lorne Rose and let him go to town. They finished the project in 2020.

Indiana limestone—locally sourced, abundant, durable and therefore environmentally friendly—cloaks the home in a tan façade. The pad’s heated driveway leads to a garage with a lift, allowing cars to be parked in the basement.
See?
To the right of the foyer, residents will find this built-in bench and the elevator. The space is defined by stone, white oak and inlaid metal lines.
Opposite the elevator is the dining room, complete with a spindly brass chandelier, a bar and a wine display.
Here’s a closer look at the bar–wine closet combo.
Here’s the first of four living rooms. This is the main one, near the back of the house. Note its custom marble shelving and surround.
The kitchen comes with a giant marble island, luxury Miele appliances—including an oven, a steam oven and a warming drawer—and a panelled fridge and freezer.
But the pièce de résistance is the massive Lacanche gas range, with seven burners and old-timey brass knobs, crafted by hand in the company’s 200-year-old factory in Burgundy.
This walk-in pantry and catering space is sandwiched between the kitchen and the dining room. It has its own dishwasher and fridge, plus plenty of counter space for gadgets.
The breakfast nook overlooking the pool is surrounded by picture windows.
A seemingly floating staircase ascends to the bedrooms.
It’s crowned by several skylights.
The main suite takes up the southern half of the second floor. It has a silky headboard flanked by tall mirrors that point to the ceiling’s intricate crown moulding.
What bedroom would be complete without its own coffee bar?
Here’s the suite’s makeup station, with a semi-translucent light-up onyx work surface.
Now for the ensuite. It comes with a double vanity and sconce lighting built into the mirror. There’s also a soaker tub, a marble sit-in shower (equipped with a waterproof speaker) and a private water closet.

Here’s a peek inside the second wardrobe.
Take your pick: this room on the second floor’s northern wing can be fashioned as an office, a lounge or a cave for Minecraft.
Heading upstairs once again highlights the conference room overlooking the pool.
This attic-style guest room cleverly uses the shape of the roof for bench nooks.
The basement is the fun zone. Check out the fishbowl gym, outfitted with rubber floors, floor-to-ceiling mirrors and equipment worthy of a pro athlete.
Dads everywhere would envy the speakeasy-style basement bar and lounge, also with a gas fireplace.
The home theatre has 10 recliners, soundproof walls, surround sound and a high-end projector. Just outside the exit is the concession stand, with a mini fridge, a popcorn machine and every powdered topping imaginable.
Outside is—you guessed it—another lounge. The deck is complete with a kitchenette that includes a grill, a sink and a mini fridge. Those 12-foot sliding glass doors on the right open fully.
Those spa-worthy waterfall spouts are one of the property’s most fun features.
Lastly, here’s a view of the entire backyard and rear of the home. The concrete pool, in-ground hot tub and army of loungers are calling for a cinematic pool party.
