James Sbrolla bought Captain John’s restaurant boat for a pittance at a court-ordered auction last week, but he may have overpaid. The Star reports that the Toronto entrepreneur has not yet delivered the $30,000 balance of his bid, which was due on Thursday. Sbrolla has until August 22 to remove the ship from its slip at the foot of Yonge Street at his own expense, but he’s seeking to forestall that deadline, as well. According to the Star, he’s concerned that even disconnecting the ship’s hydro line will take longer than the allotted two weeks.
