Address: 15 Georgina Drive Neighbourhood: Oro-Medonte Agent: Krista Charlene Alkerton, Royal Lepage First Contact Realty Price: $5,150,000

The Place: The Eyrie, as this nearly 10,000 square foot property is dubbed (don’t worry, Game of Thrones fans, no villainous Littlefingers to be found at this one), is a modern six-bedroom, seven-bathroom manor perched on a high outcrop above Lake Simcoe’s Kempenfelt Bay, just minutes from Barrie.

The History: Built over the course of three years and finished in 2006, this home was designed by Mike Niven, whose work can be seen in condo developments across the city. The property is dotted with luxe details, like exotic woods (bird’s eye and tiger maple in the study, acacia herringbone floors and a walnut staircase), heated terraces, a sauna, an elevator, a gym, fibre-optic wiring and a whole three dishwashers in the kitchen.

Big Selling Point: The master bath, awash in Carrara marble, has a majestic view of the water. It also has a steam shower, dual vanities and a jet tub—a definite step up from jumping off the dock with a bottle of biodegradable shampoo.

Possible Deal Breaker: Though there are a whopping seven bathrooms, two of the bedrooms don’t have en suites. Even so, this place is luxurious beyond the dreams of most cottagers. If any guests complain about having to walk down the hall to brush their teeth, the owner would be well within their rights to toss them into the lake.

By the Numbers:

• $5,150,000 • $19,778 in taxes (2014) • 9,440 square feet • 115 feet of shoreline • 7 bathrooms • 6 bedrooms • 3 gas fireplaces
