Since 2018, TL Insider has been an outlet for the culture curious in Toronto to explore the city and gain access to the best in food, education, business, art and more. As one of the membership program’s earliest partners, University Health Network—Canada’s largest hospital network—has steadily augmented the membership experience by supporting numerous titles under the SJC Media umbrella by way of enriching and informative programming.
As we kickstart a new year at TL Insider, it seemed fitting to look back at some of the highlights from last year, powered by a creative team of event curators, our enthusiastic members and one of our most beloved partners.
In January, TL Insiders had front-of-the-line access to Maclean’s inaugural Ideas Summit, inspired by the magazine’s Year Ahead issue, featuring leading thinkers discussing the future of Canada. In partnership with University Health Network, the summit included a closing night reception and panel discussion with Dr. Andrew Boozary, primary-care physician and the executive director of population health and social medicine at the UHN.
Last April, TL Insider celebrated a very special edition of its Serving Knowledge Supper Club following International Women’s Day. With none other than chef Nuit Regular as the event’s culinary host, attendees enjoyed a colourful five-course meal at Kiin alongside a live series of fireside chats powered by UHN Impact Collective.
Led by a powerful panel of female leaders from within the organization, discussions ranged from fostering inclusivity in the healthcare sector to the art of balancing leadership and life. Like every iteration of the supper series, $50 from every ticket sale was donated to UHN Foundation, exemplifying TL Insider and UHN’s shared passion for community and care.
Toronto’s sprawling Richmond-Adelaide Centre played host to an exciting social and networking event in August, held at the renowned courtyard at Chef’s Hall. Marking the launch of its new summer event series, Canadian Business teamed up with UHN Foundation for a live discussion with the organization’s CEO Julie Quenneville, addressing the intersection of technology and philanthropy in healthcare.
From conversations on AI to career advice for young professionals, at the core of the event was a love for learning, something both UHN and TL Insider take pride in.
