More Japanese cheesecake is coming to the core: Uncle Tetsu’s is opening a third bakery on Dundas near Bay to complement its neighbouring cheesecake outlet and matcha café. Uncle Tetsu’s Japanese Angel Café will specialize in the shop’s “angel hat” cheesecakes, which are the same as their wildly popular ones, just dome-shaped (the sign features a cherubic Uncle Tetsu wearing a cheesecake as a jaunty chapeau). NOW reports that the new location, which will be the first of the three to offer seating, is scheduled to open in March—which means the lineup should start forming any day now.
