Toronto Life celebrates the second edition of City of Parks
On June 11, Toronto Life launched the second edition of City of Parks, a special insert in the June issue celebrating innovative green spaces in Toronto. The insert was made possible by the generous support of our civic-minded partners including TD Bank Group, Mizrahi Developments, The Daniels Corporation, Chestnut Park, Burt’s Bees, Fairmont Hotel & Resorts and Mill Street Brewery.
Hosted in partnership with Evergreen at the Brick Works, the event gathered over 200 guests to toast City of Parks and to share in the company of those creating inspirational green cities. Geoff Cape, co-founder and CEO of Evergreen was joined by David Hamilton, publisher of Toronto Life, and Maryam Sanati, editor of City of Parks to kick off with evening with remarks on the importance of connecting Torontonians with nature.
Notable guests in attendance included: Rahul Bhardwaj, Toronto Community Foundation; Dave Harvey, Park People; Claire Hopkinson, Toronto Arts Council; Joel Peters, Tourism Toronto; Adam Vaughan, Former City Councillor.
