At the bi-monthly pop-up night market, local vendors sell clothing, accessories and home goods alongside street food, drinks and music. Beaches Jazz Festival (FREE!)
Hundreds of performers descend on the city’s east end for 10 days of rollicking rhythms and steamy solos during the acclaimed annual event. THEATRE Shakespeare in High Park Watche two of The Bard’s most famous plays under a starry sky. Macbeth offers drama lovers a classic tale of ambition gone wrong, while The Taming of the Shrew is given a contemporary, Eurotrash-inspired spin. Tirgan Iranian Festival (FREE!)

BIG on Bloor Festival (FREE!)
It’s clearly festival season in the city, and this one shuts down the West end of Bloor for local artists and performers, a street market and a wide array of neighbourhood grub. Kids can get into a giant inflatable ball and roll around on a pool surface, likely prompting more than a little jealousy from the adults. July 20-21. Free.
