The new restaurant at the Windsor Arms has vegan snacks and a self-serve beer tap

The Living Room is the new resto-lounge at the Windsor Arms, the Yorkville boutique hotel known for prim afternoon teas and star-studded film-festival clientele, including regulars like Colin Farrell and Clint Eastwood. Prime Steakhouse, the hotel’s former restaurant, was a revolving door for big-name chefs like J.P. Challet and Richard Andino, who decamped after short stints to launch Ici Bistro and Dyne, respectively. The new space is posh but casual with a long marble bar, plush sofas and an all-day menu of British pub standards, like shepherd’s pie and beef Wellington, plus vegan salads and sandwiches. At the bar: a 700-long wine list, 10 beers on tap, 60 by the bottle, and a self-pour draft table for beer geeks who like to tap their own suds.
