The Comrade

When this Riverside institution went on the market, Jeff Bovis and Jackie Lee, the owners of Wynona Restaurant, couldn’t pass it up—it had been their go-to bar for post-shift drinks. It’s still the same moody red-hued room decked out in neon and taxidermy, but the menu got a bit of a glow-up. And while they’ve assured us that the burger isn’t going anywhere, it’s been joined by some elevated snacks and plates, like pan con tomate and beef tartare. 758 Queen St. E., comradetoronto.com
